Alanna is a Des Moines, IA native whose interest in real estate began at a young age, stemming from HGTV and her uncle’s property management company. She graduated from the University of Northern Iowa where she double majored in Real Estate and Finance.

Prior to joining JS Coats, Alanna worked in the commercial mortgage loan department at American Equity where she analyzed potential loan offerings and assisted in the production of loans totaling over $300MM. Alanna was selected to participate in the Greater Des Moines Partnership Fellowship Program, a two-year young professionals development program with the goal to attract, develop and retain a diverse community of top-tier graduates to Des Moines. She is also an active member of CREW Iowa (Commercial Real Estate Women).

Alanna spends her free time coaching High School Color Guard, playing volleyball and pickleball, and hiking with her two huskies.
