Peter Wong | SVP – Team Development Executive
Peter Wong has enjoyed a career in commercial real estate finance spanning four decades. He began his income property mortgage career in 1977 with Standard Insurance Company as a Loan Officer in their Commercial Mortgage Loan Department. After five years, he joined the California-based Barry S. Slatt Mortgage Company, first opening a new Pacific Northwest office in Portland, OR in 1981 and then moving it up to Seattle, WA in 1982. Peter ran this office for 13 years before starting his own commercial mortgage company, Peter W. Wong Associates, Inc. After ten years, his company was acquired and merged with Intervest Mortgage, a subsidiary of Sterling Bank. Peter was Regional Director/SVP for the Washington operations of Intervest and headed the loan correspondent operations with life insurance companies and other institutional lenders for the entire company. Upon sale of Sterling Bank in 2014, Peter elected to retire from Intervest. He was excited to join JS Coats Capital in 2015, its inaugural year, in a role of team development, lender relationships and long-term strategy.
